What to expect from audio to MIDI

The converter first splits the song into stems and then transcribes each one into notes with pitch, start, length and velocity. You get a Standard MIDI File with one track per detected instrument; drums go on channel 10 so they play as a drum kit.

Clean, well-separated parts transcribe best. Dense chords, distorted guitars and effects-heavy sounds give rougher results, so expect to tidy the MIDI in your DAW. The file is written at 120 BPM with notes at their real times; set your project tempo to match the song if you want bar lines to line up.

Need the separated audio too? Use the stem splitter. Want to know the key first? Try the key finder.
