Deep and chipmunk voices move the pitch down or up, and the voice's formants move with it. Deep lowers the pitch by 5 semitones and chipmunk raises it by 7.
Robot multiplies the voice by a 50 Hz tone, which gives a buzzy, metallic sound. Echo adds repeats that fade out, and telephone keeps only the middle frequencies, the narrow band an old phone line carried.
For the cleanest recording, use a quiet room and hold the microphone close. For more control over the result, try the pitch changer, which sets pitch and tempo separately.
