How AI vocal removal works
Old “karaoke” filters subtracted the left and right channels, which removed anything panned to the center, including bass and drums, and left reverb behind. AI vocal removers instead use a neural network trained on thousands of separated tracks. It recognizes what a voice sounds like and rebuilds two clean stems: vocals and everything else.
